Poppies Version 2
I did another take on my poppy illo because the other one was kind of unusable for any practical purpose (super tiny).
While I'm here, just for fun, here's a goofy little gouache doodle I did (the pose makes no sense, I absolutely acknowledge this)!
It was nice to break out the tangible paint and I hope to continue to do it and improve on my method this year! It's one of my big resolutions!

Sort-of-cellos and Kites
Some rough comp studies for an illustration I eventually plan to finish. It was weirdly enough intending to be sort of a self motivational piece, because I need a bit of a pick-me-up right now!
A REDRAW SOMETHING OLD meme. Still a pretty rough sketch but I like that the new one is significantly smarmier looking. The original is from '07.

Eel
There was this thing going around tumblr for a bit where you generated a spirit eel based on your birthdate, and then some people were personifying theirs. Since I'm all about jumping on bandwagons late, here's mine. The colors were kind of different for me (though I picked them), so it was fun!

PANTHERS, GHOST STORIES, AND ... dancing
I feel like this is the direction I really wanted when I did the Sun Child stuff... Shame it took me so long to get there! I love mixing decorative elements with character images, it is my single greatest joy in life. I totally cooked some RL paper for the texture here.
Sort of concept sketch from a story from a game project from my Creative Vis class (it's not from then, it's just ... those characters). GHOSTS EVERYWHERE. I would eventually like to visually work this story out because I just feel like this is the story I have the most fun with!
From a challenge blog over at the tumblz - limited given palette. I wanna go back and give them smaller feet, I think it would be cute (oops sorry dave chow) quaint.
